My name is Ezra (they/them), and I identify as Queer, Nonbinary, and Disabled. My role at the Epicenter is Drop In Services Support Staff. I am a senior at Cal State Monterey Bay, pursuing my BA in Social Sciences and minoring Humanities and Communication. In the past ten years, I have been deeply involved in local LGBTQ+ organizing and diversity equity and inclusion education. Through serving as a board member for Monterey Peninsula Pride and the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI), I initially acquainted myself with the amazing and talented team here at The Epicenter.
In my free time, I am devoted to racial equity projects, emphasizing our community’s direct democracy with elected representatives. Outside of political action, I enjoy soaking the sun in the woods with my dog, Ginny. I also find crafting to be incredibly grounding.
I feel that my values align with Marsha P. Johnson’s famous quote, “No Pride for some of us without Liberation for all of us.”
