I come from less than humble beginnings. In May of 2009 I was given a new identity: “Foster kid.” I was placed with a family who consumed me with love and support, I flourished. In 2012 I obtained what I had always thought was unobtainable, a High School diploma. Shortly after graduation I moved to New York. Upon completion of my two year journey in New York I moved to Monterey County August of 2014. It was at Hartnell College that I first heard about The Epicenter. After a bit of contemplation I decided to give the center a chance, they had me at “hello.” I began volunteering my time to The Epicenter off and on for the next year. This lead to a position; I started as a Youth Advocate in January of 2016. I look forward to all that this new journey has in store for me.
