Hello! My name is Briana. I joined the Epicenter as the Program Manager and, while I am a recent transplant to Monterey County, I came with a background in cross-cultural and experiential education as well as leadership and youth development both in the US and abroad. A passion for diversity, social justice, and education has always been central to what drives my work. My role at the Epicenter is to be a support, mentor, and advocate for the youth staff, and to identify and cultivate community relationships that can be resources to the youth we serve. I am committed to supporting empowering spaces for diverse communities, and I was (and continue to be!) impressed by the work of the Epicenter as soon as I met this incredible team. I am honored and inspired to be a part of the Epicenter community, and am forever ready to learn from the unique and dynamic individuals who come through our doors.
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” – Anaïs Nin
